Arches
If you know me and Sha then you know we are not the best planners. Meaning, we don't plan. At all. So, this is going to sound incredible. We decided the night before to go to Arches National Park in Moab. We had a whole night to plan! We were pretty proud of ourselves. So we left early in the morning and drove in my already miled-over car to the promise land of Utah. Seriously this place is amazing. We got there at the hottest part of the day so we decided to do the biggest hike. Good plan eh? But, seriously. If you have not hiked Delicate Arch are you really from Utah? (If you are not from Utah then you are kind of excused but not really.)
After our Delicate Arch adventure we went to as many arches as we could. It was a pretty busy day but somehow we found an arch where no one was at. Like, it was a little creepy. But, it was the prime place for a photo shoot. Self timer is our homie. But also we have no clue what is even happening in this picture.

Provo River Kayak
GUYS. How have I not done this before?! Some of us got together and kayaked down the Provo River. It is a pretty slow river but super fun. I only almost got impaled by a tree once. Me and Matt cruised down, we are actually thinking about the Olympics for 2016 so ya know..see ya in Brazil.

Goblin Valley
Summer in Provo is the bommmmmmb. But sometimes we are at a loss of what to do. SO me and Shalee had this great idea. We put all of our summer ideas in a box and when we are bored we pull one out. Shalee pulled out Goblin Valley. Goblin Valley is like 3 hours away so didn't know how committed I was. But 2 minutes after it was suggested we were in the car. Did we think to bring food? Nope or water. Or sunscreen. But we got the camera annnnnd the Tswift album. We listened to that a good 6 times. Turns out Goblin Valley is HOT. We asked the visitor center where to go once we entered the park but the girl said nothing. Literally nothing. Little confused why she was working but ya know we just went for it. So we drove to a parking lot saw a sign for the Entrada trail and just went for it.
We walked through this for a good thirty minutes. In case you were wondering on the other side of the hill is the road. It was just a bunch of switch backs. Horrible. Like horrible. Probably because I had not eaten anything and it was super hot so I was not feelin good. I mean I don't think you are supposed to be cold and have goosebumps when it is 100 degrees outside. Advice: Bring water. Also do not hike on the Entrada Trail. Once we got to the end of the trail we realized that it was actually the beginning annnd we hiked the wrong way but both ends had nothing. Advice: go to the Scenic Points, go down to the valley, climb goblins, be goblins. Kill it. What a solid day.

Capitol Hill
Culture Thursday. We decided to go to Salt Lake. Usually when I go to Salt Lake I go to City Creek and the Temple but this time me and Sha decided to go to the State Capitol! We both had never been so why not huh? It was so cool! Also, there were a whole lot of Chinese tour groups. One guy came up to me an Sha and asked to take a picture..we both smiled...then we realized he wanted us to take a picture of him..reality check. Not in China anymore that is for sure! But it is actually a really cool building! So pretty. Also, I will work there one day. Great. Cool. Just call me Governor Gilbert.
